Spreyton Cider Co. presents
The Dark Orchard
An intimate evening of food, cider & whisky
This Halloween, step into The Dark Orchard at Spreyton.
An intimate evening built around one superb apple, the Kingston Black.
Six courses of exceptional Tasmanian food, each with a drink poured to match, live entertainment and the orchard after dark.
Saturday 31 October
“Our Kingston Black Cider spends six months in Hellyers Road whisky barrels.
On the night, Hellyers Road will showcase its whisky, while Head Chef, Josh Cox serves a menu inspired by this remarkable apple and whisky pairing”
The Evening
Long table, deep flavours
Dining
Six carefully curated courses, served long-table style. Each one built to work alongside what’s in your glass.
Drinks
Our full Kingston Black cider range, alongside Hellyers Road whiskies, wine, cider, cocktails and other selected pours.
Music
As darkness settles over the orchard, the Lumina String Quartet will provide a hauntingly beautiful live soundtrack.
Meet the king
The Kingston Black, up close
Throughout the evening, we’ll take you deeper into the food, the whisky and, most importantly, the King himself.
Discover what makes this legendary cider apple so special, why it has earned its reputation as the king of cider apples, and how its character shifts through different expressions, pairings and processes.
This is your chance to get to know the King on a far more intimate level.
The Menu
Six courses. One long table
Head Chef Josh Cox is still deep in the kitchen with this one, so the courses stay under wraps for now.
We will share them closer to the night, each one paired to tell the story.
