For more than a century the apple orchards of Spreyton have been part of Tasmania’s fruit-growing story. Since 1908, five generations of our family have grown apples, pears and cherries right here in Spreyton. That fruit helped build the region’s name for quality and honest Tasmanian produce.
We have always believed great drinks start with great fruit. Our family has spent generations learning the land, the seasons and the varieties that thrive in this valley. That knowledge sits at the heart of everything we make.
In 2012 that orchard legacy turned into something new. We launched Spreyton Cider Co., taking decades of fruit-growing know-how and pouring it into a modern beverage business. From the beginning we followed a simple idea we call orchard-to-glass: fruit grown on our own trees, pressed and made into cider just a short walk from the orchard. Real fruit. Real flavour. Nothing fancy added.
Now we are turning a fresh page.
Same cider, bold new cans
The crisp, refreshing cider you know and love is getting a bold new can design. We are starting with our most popular Apple Cider. The new look marks the next chapter of the Spreyton story.
New look cans. Same award-winning Tasmanian apple cider inside every one.
This is more than a packaging refresh. While cider stays at the heart of what we do, the range has grown well beyond it. You will find ginger beer, ready-to-drink favourites, sparkling non-alcoholic drinks, premium juices, vinegars, and a craft beer range on the way. The new cans will roll out as the current ones sell through, so keep an eye out for the fresh design landing soon at bottle shops, the cellar door and online.
Still true to the orchard
Whether you find us at your local bottle shop, the Spreyton cellar door or online, one thing has not changed and will not. We are here to make drinks that genuinely taste of Tasmania, from our orchard, the same way it all started.
Every can still carries a little of this place: the cool climate, the rich soil and the fruit we have been growing for five generations. That is the difference you can taste.
Visit us in North West Tasmania
If you are travelling through North West Tasmania or staying near Devonport, call into the Spreyton cellar door. You can taste the cider poured fresh, see the orchard for yourself and take some of the new cans home. It is a relaxed spot for a tasting paddle, a meal or simply a quiet drink among the trees.
You can also order the new-look Apple Cider straight from our online shop:
We are proud of where we come from and even prouder of the drinks we make. Thanks for being part of the Spreyton story.
