Spreyton Limoncello Spritz made by our community

off the press

A few lemons from your garden. A bag from the neighbours. Some from the tree that has been growing at your nan’s place for years. This summer, we would love to bring them together in a Limoncello Spritz made with a little help from our community.

At Spreyton, we are inviting our neighbours across Spreyton, Devonport, Latrobe, Burnie and the surrounding areas to share their homegrown lemons. We will turn them into our Spreyton Community Limoncello Spritz, then bring everyone together to enjoy what they have helped make.

When life gives you lemons, we’ll spritz ’em.

Spreyton Tasmanian limoncello spritz

You bring the lemons. We will take it from there.

Help make our Spreyton Limoncello Spritz. There is something lovely about the way backyard fruit gets shared. A bag left on a doorstep, a few passed over the fence, or an invitation to come and pick what you need.

This project is built on that same generosity. We are hoping to gather 150 to 160 kg of homegrown lemons from local gardens for one community batch.

Donate 2 kg or more of ripe, delicious lemons and receive a four-pack of 330 ml cans of the finished spritz as a thank-you.

A little something to enjoy with friends, knowing your own backyard helped make it.

The thank-you gift is one four-pack for a qualifying donation of 2 kg or more. Contributors must be aged 18 or over, and terms and conditions apply.

Every tree has a story

Perhaps someone in your family planted your lemon tree years ago. Perhaps it came with the house, or you have patiently waited for its first decent crop. We would love to hear about it when you come in. The lemons are part of this project, but so are the people who have grown and shared them.

What lemons can you bring? We are looking for homegrown lemons that are ripe, juicy and unsprayed. Please leave any bruised, mouldy or overripe fruit at home.

Our team will check and weigh your lemons when you arrive. Only accepted lemons count towards the 2 kg minimum.

If your tree has a few to spare, have a look, chat to the neighbours and see what you can gather.

Bring your lemons to the Spreyton Cellar Door

Bring your lemons to 6 Melrose Road, Spreyton, between 16 and 31 October 2026, unless we reach our target sooner.

Please drop in between 10 am and 11.30 am, or after 3 pm during our opening hours. Our lunch rush runs from 11:30am to 3pm and things get pretty busy. If you arrive during that time, we may ask you to pop back a little later so we can look after everyone properly and have a chat. Thanks for understanding.

Coming outside the lunchtime rush gives us a chance to chat, weigh your lemons, and add your name to our growers list. We will ask you to complete a grower form so we can keep in touch about the finished spritz and collection arrangements.

Then we get together

Sharing the finished spritz is something we are looking forward to. When it is ready, we would love you to join us for a citrus-themed summer lunch, with a special menu from Josh and the Orchard Kitchen team.

Book a table, bring some good company and meet a few of the other people whose lemons went into the batch. Contributing growers will receive a complimentary beverage on arrival and can collect their four-pack at the lunch.

From trees in different backyards to people gathered around the table, it is a chance to enjoy something we have made together.

Families have been at the heart of Spreyton for more than a hundred years. We would love you and yours to be part of this next little chapter. A little of your garden. A little of our craft. Something to share.

A little of your garden. A little of our craft. Something to share.
