Why Spreyton Belongs on Your Tasmanian Road Trip

off the press

A good road trip stop should be more than a place to stretch your legs. It should give you a real taste of where you are. At Spreyton Cider Co, that taste begins in the apple orchard around you.
Located near Devonport in North West Tasmania, our Cellar Door is an easy stop for travellers exploring the region. Whether you arrive from the Spirit of Tasmania, travel with a caravan or spend the day discovering the coast, there is plenty of room to slow down and stay awhile.

Taste cider where the apples are grown

Our family has grown fruit at Spreyton since 1908. Five generations later, we still grow our own Tasmanian apples and press them here on the farm. Those apples go into the ciders and beverages you can enjoy at our Cellar Door.

A tasting paddle is a simple way to explore the range. Try our award-winning Tasmanian cider, compare different flavours and find a new favourite. If cider is not for you, there are also craft beers, ginger beers, spirits, natural sparkling waters, non-alcoholic drinks and fresh apple juice.

Settle in for lunch at the Orchard Kitchen

There is no need to rush back to the road. The Orchard Kitchen serves relaxed, satisfying food in the heart of our working orchard. Find a table indoors or outside, order lunch and choose a drink made only metres from where the fruit was grown.

It is the kind of place where you can settle in for a long lunch, share a cheese board and a tasting paddle or enjoy a quiet coffee while planning the next part of your Tasmanian road trip.

An easy stop for families

Travelling with children can make choosing a lunch stop tricky. Spreyton Cider Co is a family-friendly attraction in Tasmania with room for everyone to relax.

The enclosed playground gives children space to play while adults enjoy lunch nearby. Families can also enjoy ice cream, fresh apple juice and non-alcoholic tasting options. Take a walk around the orchard trail and let everyone stretch their legs before getting back in the car.

Bring the caravan and the dog

Our spacious parking area makes Spreyton Cider Co a convenient caravan-friendly stop in Tasmania. Pull in, park with less fuss and take a proper break from the road.

Dogs are welcome in suitable outdoor areas, so your four-legged traveller does not have to miss out. Keep your dog with you and check with our team if you need help finding the best place to sit
