A Region Rich in Tasmanian Produce
North West Tasmania is home to rich farmland, cool weather, productive orchards and people who care deeply about what they make.
Travel through the region and you will find fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, chocolate, honey, seafood, wine, beer, spirits and Tasmanian cider. Much of it is grown, made or prepared by local families who have strong connections to the land.
Visitors can meet producers, learn where their food and drinks come from, and enjoy them close to where they were made. That connection is one of the things that makes North West Tasmania so memorable.
Five Generations in Spreyton
Our family has been growing fruit in Spreyton since 1908. Five generations later, the orchard remains at the heart of our family business.
Over the years, we have grown beyond fresh fruit and apple juice to produce a broad range of Tasmanian beverages. Our range now includes award-winning cider, ginger beer, sparkling water, non-alcoholic drinks, juices, vinegars and other seasonal releases.
Many of our drinks begin with fruit grown in our own orchards. This allows us to follow the journey from the trees through to the finished product.
We are proud of where we have come from, but we are always looking ahead. New products and ideas continue to grow from the same family values that have guided us for generations.
Visit Our Cellar Door Near Devonport
The best way to experience Spreyton Cider Co is to visit our cellar door, located just ten minutes from Devonport.
You can sample our range with a tasting paddle, enjoy a glass of your favourite drink or stay for a relaxed meal overlooking the working orchard. Our bar includes cider, ginger beer and plenty of non-alcoholic choices.
The cellar door is open seven days a week, except public holidays. We have indoor and outdoor seating, an enclosed playground, space for caravans and campervans, and easy parking.
It is a relaxed stop for families, couples, groups and anyone travelling through North West Tasmania.
Explore the Tasting Trail Tasmania
Spreyton Cider Co is also part of the Tasting Trail Tasmania, which connects visitors with food and drink producers across the North West.
The trail makes it easy to plan a food-filled road trip through the region. Along the way, you can visit orchards, farms, cellar doors, cafés and other local businesses.
Every stop has its own story, and together they show just how much North West Tasmania has to offer.
